  • Schedule: Routine weekday hours

  • Travel: Less than 10% (to internal sites and business partners)
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for planning, analyzing, and executing Reliability and Maintainability requirements throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Your impact will include:
  • Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses on vehicle components and subsystems
  • Conduct FMECA, RCM, and LORA assessments to guide maintenance strategies
  • Analyze field and test failure data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Participate in design reviews to influence maintainability and serviceability
  • Support root cause and corrective action activities with design teams
  • Develop operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting documentation
  • Provide technical input during prototype, pilot, and production phases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Test & Development, Engineering, Aftermarket, and Suppliers
  • Communicate directly with customers on requirements, findings, and execution plans
  • Prepare and present technical reports to leadership and customers
  • Support condition-based maintenance (CBM) initiatives
  • Work independently and proactively report program status and risks
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 3 years of direct Reliability & Maintainability engineering experience
  • 5 years of experience performing DFMEA
  • Experience analyzing complex vehicular systems and system integration
  • 3 years supporting heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or similar vehicle platforms
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skillset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models
Standout Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Advanced technical writing experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with diesel or agricultural equipment systems
  • Experience with reliability or documentation-related programming tools (e.g., VBA, Arbortext)
  • Experience with product lifecycle tools such as Windchill, Creo, or Windchill Quality Solutions
  • Vendor development or supplier support experience
Interview Process
  1. Initial phone or MS Teams screen with HR
  2. MS Teams interview with hiring manager(s)
  3. Onsite interview
Candidates selected for interviews must be fully committed and responsive throughout the process.
Summary
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in data-driven reliability work, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is motivated by improving vehicle performance and maintainability. Experience with heavy truck, automotive, agricultural, or construction equipment platforms is highly valued.
