Senior Reliability Engineer
We are engaged in a confidential search for a Senior Reliability Engineer responsible for driving the interpretation, planning, and execution of Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) requirements within complex engineering programs.
This role focuses on analyzing failure data, defining maintenance strategies, and developing operator and troubleshooting procedures, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure overall system performance and lifecycle success.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with test, development, design engineering, and external partners to build lifecycle support strategies
- Analyze systems using FMECA, RCM, and LORA methodologies to improve reliability and maintenance planning
- Interpret failure data and recommend repair strategies and maintenance levels
- Support programs across design, prototype, pilot, and production phases
- Contribute to Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies and implementation
- Collaborate with documentation and support teams to develop technical manuals and system databases
- Communicate directly with stakeholders to support requirements planning and execution
- Operate independently while providing clear updates on program status and deliverables
- Prepare and present technical findings to both internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging technologies to improve lifecycle and logistics planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
- 3 years of experience in reliability engineering within complex mechanical or vehicle-based systems
- Strong understanding of system integration across mechanical, electrical, and software components
- Experience working in environments such as heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical findings into actionable insights
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models
- Advanced background in statistics and data analysis
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Experience with diesel-powered equipment or large-scale machinery
- Exposure to technical publishing or scripting tools (e.g., VBA or similar)
- Familiarity with PLM/engineering tools such as Windchill, Creo, or similar platforms
