Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Farmington, Connecticut. This role involves performing circulating duties for cardiovascular operating room procedures, with an emphasis on versatility across various surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, and neurology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day to this position.
Job Details:
- Location: Farmington, Connecticut
- Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH)
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, with shift times at 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM, based on operational needs, including on-call responsibilities (3-4 times per month), rotating weekends, and holidays. Shift hours are approximately 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Four to five years of Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) or combined OR experience
- Circulating experience is required, with proficiency in orthopedics, spine, and neuro surgeries, including independent performance of these procedures
- Active Registered Nurse license and a valid NURSYS license report
- Active Connecticut RN license (must be obtained within 24 hours of application lock)
- Candidates should be versatile, with the ability to work in both circulating and scrub roles as needed

- Additional Information:
- Mandatory overtime includes being part of the rotation pool required to work additional hours as needed to ensure coverage for the unit
