What You’ll Do
- Serve as a team leader and mentor for DSP I and II staff
- Guide individuals toward their personal goals and dreams
- Oversee program documentation and ensure compliance
- Assist the Program Manager with administrative tasks and coordination
- Support medication, meal, and transfer trainings
- Communicate effectively and document with accuracy
- Participate in ISP meetings and help plan engaging activities
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Five (5) years of hands on experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the Person-Centered Plan process.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams and basic computer skills for documentation, communication, and training purposes.
- Ability to work independently.
- Passion, empathy, and a commitment to excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or related field.
- 50% completion of DSP certification.
- Ability to obtain DSP certifications within 90 days of employment.
- Requires light and/or heavy lifting, repetitive bending, sight, hearing, and ability to move with ease.
- Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, push, lift, pull, reach, sit and walk for periods of time.
- Indoor and Outdoor program site and various community locations.
- None; however, functions as a leader in the program providing mentoring, training and direction to the DSPs.
