Location: Grand Island, NE

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Starting Pay: Up to $20.00/hour, based on relevant experience

Credit Management Services, Inc. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting Department.

In this position, you'll gain hands-on accounting experience while playing an important role in accurately processing and balancing payments for our company.

What You'll Do

• Process and accurately post payments into our system
• Prepare daily deposits
• Sort and organize payments received from multiple sources
• Balance payment batches and verify totals for accuracy
• Review account activity and prepare consumer account summaries
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounting Department
• Assist with additional accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities as you grow in the position

What We're Looking For

• Accounting education, coursework or related work experience preferred
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, payment processing, cash handling or a related position is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify errors and ensure accuracy
• Good keyboarding and 10-key skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
• A willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
