Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour, based on experience

Credit Management Services, Inc. is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting Department in Grand Island!

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who wants to take the next step in their accounting career. You’ll begin by supporting our accounts payable functions while receiving training and cross-training in other areas of accounting, with the opportunity to advance into an Accountant position as you develop your skills and experience.

What You’ll Do

• Process accounts payable invoices and payments after obtaining required approvals.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and vendor information.
• Review invoices for appropriate sales and use tax.
• Obtain and maintain vendor documentation, including W-9 forms.
• Work with Microsoft Excel and our accounting software, Acumatica.
• Assist with account reconciliations and monthly financial reporting.
• Cross-train in additional accounting functions and take on responsibilities as you develop within the department.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Previous accounts payable experience required.
• Must be currently pursuing or willing to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting to support advancement into an Accountant role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Motivation to learn, grow professionally, and advance in your accounting career.

Experience with Acumatica or similar accounting software is a plus, but not required.
