Position Overview
Our client is the footwear design team of a major fashion retailer seeking a Senior Designer for Men's performance footwear. This is a hybrid, 40 hours/week assignment that will be onsite 3 days/week (Tues-Thurs) in Rockingham County, NH and about 2 months long (through end of February) with likely extension.
To be considered, you must have experience or skills in:
- Performance footwear category
- Hand sketching
- Collaboration
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, design, and develop product aligned with brand concepting, storytelling, and technical development
- Collaborate with Product team on line plans, briefs, and final product solutions that meet business goals and consumer needs
- Work cross-functionally to create market-relevant product stories
- Produce CADs, line art, tech packs, and presentation materials to communicate concepts and strategy
- Partner with Product Development to deliver innovative, market-ready products
- Ensure all deadlines, line plans, and deliverables are met according to the product calendar
- Present timely and relevant design, consumer, and cultural insights aligned with project briefs
Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in performance footwear or industrial design, including material specs and tech packs
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, MS Office, and PLM software
- Strong understanding of materials, color, and market trends for men's footwear
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Associate's degree in fashion, footwear, or industrial design preferred
