What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Designer position at Creative Circle?
Our financial services client is looking for a Senior Digital Product Designer to join their team on a 12-month contract with a high likelihood of extension. This role is on-site, 5 days a week in their McLean, VA office.
This role is ideal for a product designer who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is passionate about solving complex problems through human-centered design. Experience designing complex SaaS products is highly preferred.
Duties of the Product Designer:
Lead end-to-end UX and product design efforts from discovery through delivery
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and business goals
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications
Conduct and apply user research, usability testing, and customer feedback to drive design decisions
Champion design system adoption and ensure consistency across experiences
Present design solutions, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across teams
Mentor peers and contribute to the evolution of our UX practice, processes, and standards
Requirements of the Product Designer:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in UX, product, interaction, or visual design
A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering digital products and experiences
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of Design Thinking and human-centered design methodologies
Experience conducting usability testing and translating insights into product improvements
Proficiency with Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
Experience working within Agile product teams
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design leadership and impact
Proven ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive experiences
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
