Overview of the Role
Our global retail media client is seeking a Manager, Account Strategy to support omni-channel advertising initiatives within a large retail media and advertising platform. This role is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing conversion-driven and brand-building advertising solutions across both managed-service and self-service channels.
The Manager, Account Strategy blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, owning the end-to-end lifecycle of advertising campaigns while serving as a consultative partner to advertisers and agencies. Success in this role requires strong media expertise, client-facing confidence, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate brand and business objectives into actionable media strategies that deliver measurable results.
The Basics

- Location: Onsite in Hoboken, NJ
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience managing or consulting on digital media campaigns across channels such as display, video, social, search, and programmatic.
- Strong understanding of digital media metrics and optimization principles, including CPM, CPC, CTR, ROAS, and media math.
- Proven client-facing experience with the ability to present strategy, identify risks, and deliver solutions in fast-paced environments.
Other Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with CRM, reporting, and ad tech tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Tableau, SQL, or Power BI is a plus
- Masters degree in a related field is a plus
- Experience influencing advertiser investment decisions and media strategy adoption is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic media plans and execute managed-service and self-service advertising campaigns across omni-channel platforms.
- Lead end-to-end campaign execution, including setup, pacing, optimization, and performance reporting.
- Partner closely with sales and account teams to develop data-driven media proposals aligned with advertiser objectives.
- Serve as a consultative expert on media tactics, audience strategy, and platform activation.
- Lead advertiser and agency calls, providing campaign stewardship, insights, and optimization recommendations.
- Apply deep understanding of media channels including paid search, programmatic display, direct digital sponsorships, CTV, social media, digital out-of-home, and in-store experiential tactics.
- Communicate campaign performance metrics, insights, and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to internal service level agreements and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality campaign launches.
- Identify and present strategic upsell opportunities to drive incremental revenue.
- Partner cross-functionally to traffic campaigns across advertising technology platforms.
- Troubleshoot campaign issues efficiently to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
