Job Description
Perform all aspects of sales, and oversight management of the Branch.
Essential Tasks And Responsibilities
Conducts sales activities for local territory and national accounts. (60-70%) Visits/phones existing or prospective accounts with and without an appointment. Drives and surveys sales territory to prospect for new customers and to develop intelligence on existing customer needs. Researches prospective accounts and/or existing customers to understand their transportation/business needs via Internet, industry materials, and/or networking. Interviews customers to determine transportation/business needs using a systematic approach to selling. Builds relationships with customers, including approved entertainment activities outside business hours. Tenacity/Persistence: Ability to stay with a position or plan of action until the desired objective is achieved or is no longer reasonably attainable. Time Management Skills: Ability to organize and/or schedule people or tasks and develop realistic action plans while being sensitive to time constraints. Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to express/present ideas or information (via the telephone or face-to-face) through the use of the spoken word, including using proper rules of grammar and vocabulary. Written Communication Skills: Ability to express ideas clearly in documents that have organization, structure, grammar, language and terminology adjusted according to the audience.,
