Overview
They are scaling production rapidly and need an experienced Production Manager. You will lead disassembly and final assembly operations, grow the team from 40 to 100 , and drive throughput, quality, and efficiency in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations: Lead all disassembly and final assembly activities Manage schedules, capacity planning, and resource allocation Maintain ERP/MRP systems and production control processes Improve cycle times, line balance, throughput, and WIP flow Track KPIs: OEE, FPY, DPM, schedule adherence Ensure safety and compliance (OSHA, EPA) Quality & Process Execution Partner with Quality, Engineering, and CI teams Enforce SOPs, quality standards, and corrective actions Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement Drive first-pass yield and production discipline Leadership Build and lead a team scaling from 40 to 100 Develop team leads and supervisors Oversee training, performance management, and daily meetings Manage hiring, onboarding, and retention Strategic & Cross-Functional Develop production strategies for 5x capacity growth Implement lean systems and preventive maintenance programs Support new model introduction Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, CI, and Finance
Required Qualifications
Experience 7–10 years in automotive manufacturing leadership 5 years in production/assembly management Proven success scaling operations (3–5x) Experience managing teams of 40 and growing to 100 Technical Skills Lean manufacturing (Six Sigma, TPS, JIT) Assembly line and automotive production systems ERP/MRP and production planning tools Quality systems knowledge Low-volume or custom manufacturing experience Leadership Skills Strong team-building, coaching, and accountability Effective communicator across all levels Experienced driving organizational change Data-driven decision-making
Preferred MBA or advanced degree Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Luxury/custom automotive background Mixed-model assembly experience PMP or similar certification Spanish bilingual
