Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) — Hinesville, GA (On-Site) Location: Hinesville, GA (on-site) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:15 AM–3:15 PM Hours: 40 hours/week Pay: $36.71/hour (W2) What You’ll Do
Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you’ll help carry out patient treatment plans, including:
Provide corrective exercises and therapeutic treatments for assigned patients Assist with treatments such as: Therapeutic exercise, gait training, massage Whirlpool, hot packs, ice packs Diathermy, ultrasound, paraffin Traction (intermittent/static) Teach patients how to properly use: Wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers Braces, prosthetics, and other supportive devices Motivate and assist patients to improve functional activities Monitor patient response, document progress, and report findings to the Physical Therapist Fit/adjust/train patients on orthopedic braces, prostheses, and mobility aids Collaborate with the PT team and other healthcare team members to coordinate care plans What We’re Looking For: Associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant post-graduation Current, full, active, unrestricted PTA license
