Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during pre-surgical, operative, and recovery periods
- Collaborate daily with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Administer medications and monitor patient symptoms
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, recovery expectations, and post-surgical care
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families
- Adhere to ASC standards of care, state nurse practice regulations, and compliance protocols
- Maintain infection control standards and medication safety procedures
- Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
Required:
- ASN or BSN degree
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire)
- 1 year of operating room or surgical experience
- Hospital-based clinical exposure
