Job Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, staffing, workflow optimization, and on-time order fulfillment.
- Manage warehouse operation,s including shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure production accuracy, quality standards, and documentation compliance.
- Track and improve KPIs such as on-time delivery, labor utilization, scrap/rework rates, and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and ensure safe shop practices and OSHA compliance.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures for manufactured and distributed products.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, ASME, AWS, and customer specifications.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformances.
- Maintain QC documentation, including material certifications, inspection reports, calibration records, and traceability logs.
- Train production personnel on measurement tools, inspection techniques, and quality requirements.
- Support Engineering with product validation, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the operational liaison between Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Purchasing.
- Communicate with overseas suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve production processes.
- Support customer claim resolution with proper documentation and corrective action plans.
Required:
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, quality control, or industrial production environments.
- Prior supervisory or management experience.
- Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of standards such as ASTM, ASME, AWS, ACI, ISO, or similar.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances and specifications.
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, hardness testers, and inspection equipment.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience managing overseas vendors or import logistics.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma background.
- Experience with structural products, lifting hardware, or rigging components.
- Welding inspection, material science, or mechanical testing knowledge.
- Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus.
- Ability to walk production floors and warehouse environments regularly.
- Lift up to 40 lbs for inspection activities.
- Occasional travel to suppliers or warehouse locations.
- Use of PPE as required.
