Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Long Term Care Pharmacy
Salary: $180,000
Location: Onsite
Our client, a rapidly expanding Long Term Care Pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead sterile operations and ensure full compliance with USP /, state board requirements, and FDA expectations for 503A compounding.
What You’ll Do
Oversee daily sterile compounding activities and ensure proper aseptic technique and environmental control
Approve formulation records, batch records, and beyond-use dating
Lead QA/QC programs, including media fills, smoke studies, fingertip testing, and internal audits
Supervise and train pharmacists, technicians, and cleanroom personnel
Maintain cleanroom certifications, environmental monitoring, and facility readiness
Provide clinical guidance to providers and resolve patient or prescriber issues
Support workload metrics, operational improvements, and growth initiatives
Required
What You Bring
PharmD and active pharmacist license
LTC and compounding experience
Knowledge of USP and aseptic technique, and cleanroom operations
Experience overseeing sterile compounding staff
Strong understanding of sterility principles, calculations, and documentation requirements
Preferred
Experience with environmental monitoring and QA programs
Background in FDA or state board inspection readiness
Sterile compounding CE or certification
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
