Join a collaborative engineering team supporting public infrastructure, community, and transportation projects. This role blends field and office work, helping deliver accurate, on-time surveying services while supporting engineering operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform complex survey calculations and analyze data for maps, plats, site plans, and right-of-way documents
Research deeds, titles, and records to produce legal descriptions and survey reports
Complete boundary, topographic, utility, and construction surveys
Assist with proposals, estimates, scheduling, and project coordination
Maintain client relationships and provide timely project updates
Support business development efforts for surveying services
Minimum Qualifications
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) – Minnesota, or the ability to obtain within 3 months
LSIT certification required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, GIS, or related field
5 years of relevant experience
Preferred: 2 years as a licensed PLS
Preferred: 1 year of project management experience
Experience preparing proposals, contracts, and work orders
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Experience leading survey crews and working independently
Strong communication and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
Technical Skills
Survey research, design, and calculations using Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
Reading survey maps, legal descriptions, and engineering plans
Field equipment operation: Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
