What You'll Do
- Manage community association collection matters from initial demand through resolution
- Handle essential legal collection functions and processes
- Assist with foreclosure-related matters and proceedings
- Work on matters involving bankruptcy
- Apply knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Prepare and maintain legal documents and case files
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of required tasks
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, opposing parties, and other involved parties
- Provide excellent client service throughout the collection process
- Manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Support attorneys with legal and administrative tasks as needed
- 2 years of proven experience as a Collections Paralegal
- Direct experience handling legal collections matters
- Experience with community association collections preferred
- Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Experience with bankruptcy matters
- Experience with the foreclosure process
