Bilingual Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist
Location: Orlando, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $16–$17/hr
Overview: A community-based outpatient clinic is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience to support providers in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This role blends clinical support, blood draws, and patient education while working closely with a collaborative care team serving diverse populations. Key Responsibilities
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document chief complaints
Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures
Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy with proper specimen handling
Conduct point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, rapid HIV/STI tests)
Administer injections or immunizations as directed
Educate patients on testing, follow-up care, and preventive health
Communicate clearly with patients in both English and Spanish
Document accurately in the EHR and manage lab requisitions
Maintain exam room readiness and follow clinic safety protocols
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
Bilingual In Spanish And English (required)
Phlebotomy experience with proven competency
Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Comfortable working with diverse and underserved patient populations
Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Current team includes physicians, medical assistants, phlebotomy support, front desk staff, and office management
