Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Immigration Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience to manage all aspects of immigration removal defense and family-based visa petitions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, compassionate advocate, and active learner who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Job Responsibilities: Handle a full caseload of immigration matters, including removal defense, political asylum, juvenile petitions, appellate work, and family-based immigration petitions. Conduct legal research, draft legal briefs, and represent clients in federal immigration and Connecticut state courts. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing compassionate and clear guidance. Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure high-quality legal representation and client satisfaction. Participate in firm training opportunities with potential exposure to personal injury, workers’ compensation, criminal defense, and real estate matters.
Qualifications: Admission to the Connecticut Bar (Required) Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience (Preferred) Spanish language fluency highly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 25%,
