What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Operations – Creatine Gummy Manufacturing position at Crave?
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | St. Petersburg, FL
Crave is a rapidly growing supplement company manufacturing creatine gummies in-house. We're looking for a Head of Operations to take full ownership of our gummy manufacturing operation.
Your job is to make sure our production operation runs smoothly six days a week, while your normal working schedule is Monday–Friday.
You'll own everything from ingredients arriving at our facility to finished gummies arriving at our 3PL fulfillment center.
What You'll Own
- Managing our production team, schedules, and daily output
- Making sure production runs smoothly 6 days per week
- Hiring, training, managing, and when necessary, firing employees
- Keeping gummy production on schedule and hitting output targets
- Forecasting and ordering ingredients, packaging, and supplies
- Managing finished-goods inventory at our 3PL
- Planning and shipping pallets to the 3PL before inventory runs low
- Solving production, staffing, inventory, and equipment problems
- Improving processes to increase output and reduce costs
- Building and improving SOPs and operational systems
What We're Looking For
Gummy Manufacturing Experience is a HUGE Plus – Experience manufacturing gummies, confectionery products, or similar food products is highly preferred. It's not mandatory for the right candidate, but it will give you a major advantage.
Ownership Mentality – You identify and solve problems without waiting to be told what to do.
Strong Manager – You're comfortable managing employees, holding people accountable, hiring great people, and handling difficult personnel decisions.
Extremely Organized – You stay ahead of production, staffing, ingredients, inventory, purchasing, and logistics.
Process Optimizer – You're constantly looking for ways to make production faster, more reliable, and more efficient.
Hands-On – This isn't a corporate desk job. You'll manage the operation but be willing to jump in wherever needed.

Crave is still early and growing quickly. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of our manufacturing operation and help build the systems and team we use as we scale.
For exceptional long-term leaders, there can also be opportunities for profit sharing and/or equity.
