The Host at Craig’s Nashville is the first and last impression for every guest who walks through our doors. This role requires a gracious, attentive, and polished presence, as well as the ability to manage guest flow with confidence and care. Hosts are stewards of the guest experience — warmly welcoming every individual, communicating effectively with the service team, and maintaining poise even during the busiest moments. The role is equal parts hospitality and coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Warmly greet and escort guests to their tables using guest names whenever possible.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable with accuracy and discretion.
- Maintain the flow of the dining room by coordinating seatings with the service team.
- Track quote times, monitor pacing, and update guests on wait times with warmth and professionalism.
- Assist with coat check, door greetings, and other front-of-house tasks as needed.
- Keep host always stand and entrance area immaculate.
- Previous experience as a host or front desk team member in upscale or high-volume restaurants preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure.
- Polished, professional demeanor with genuine warmth and confidence.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
