Covered California is seeking a Supervisor to oversee our Certification Services and Agent Administration Units. This position presents a unique opportunity to lead critical initiatives that support enrollment entities, certified enrollers, certified insurance agents and sales channel partners.
As the Supervisor, you’ll provide:
- Provide strategic oversight and administration for the Certification Services Unit, including the onboarding, compliance monitoring, and certification of enrollment entities and counselors.
- Oversee the Agent Administration Unit, managing contracts, policies, compliance, communication, and systems to support certified insurance agents statewide and out of state.
- Lead and develop both the Agent Administration and Certification Services units responsible for program operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across divisions to enhance business processes, improve policy frameworks, and ensure seamless operations for both certification and agent administration.
- Analyze and present program data, providing insights through dashboards and reports to track and enhance performance.
- Represent Covered California in meetings, conferences, and statewide events to educate stakeholders, advocate for program improvements, and strengthen relationships with external partners.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento County. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters office subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

This position may be eligible for telework. In accordance with Government Code section 14200, only employees who reside in California are eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
