What are the responsibilities and job description for the LNA- Ray of Hope - Per Diem position at Cottage Hospital?
Cottage Hospital is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our Ray of Hope unit, a 10-bed voluntary inpatient program serving adults 65 experiencing mental health challenges. This specialized unit provides short-term, compassionate care in a safe and supportive environment and accepts referrals from across New England and beyond.
In this role, you will work closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to provide hands-on, supportive care. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility, as well as monitoring vital signs and documenting observations. You will also support the therapeutic environment by assisting with basic psychoeducational groups and providing special observation when needed.
You will play an important role in patient safety and communication, promptly reporting changes in condition and responding to emergency situations per unit protocols. Additional responsibilities include patient transport, assisting with admissions and discharges, maintaining room readiness, stocking supplies, and completing safety rounds.
