What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Director / Sr. Tax Manager – Income Tax Provision and Compliance position at Corsair?
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Review of interim and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions, reconcile income tax accounts, draft financial statement disclosures, assess tax contingency reserves (FIN 48), maintain components of deferred tax assets, and document valuation allowance requirements.
- Review, and analyze international income tax provision components in accordance with ASC 740, including complex international tax regimes such as GILTI, Subpart F, and FDII
- Prepare income tax forecasts, cash tax payments, and related reporting for management and stakeholders
- Manage outside providers with the preparation of the federal, and state corporate income tax returns, workpapers.
- Cooperate with Accounting department to ensure proper recording of tax related journal entries and to help facilitate monthly book closures.
- Assist in tax planning and analysis for M&A transactions, including acquisitions, internal reorganizations, and business combinations
- Develop and maintain tax policies, documentation, and controls to support SOX and internal governance requirements
- Oversee the company’s internal controls and regularly assess the appropriateness of controls in place.
- Assist the companies Head of Tax with the company’s tax audit defense strategy, managing examinations conducted by the IRS, state taxing authorities, and foreign tax authorities across multiple jurisdiction
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST, strongly preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in corporate income tax, including a combination of public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax, ASC 740, and international tax concepts.
- Experience managing global income tax compliance and reporting for multinational organizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Experience using AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance productivity, analysis, and documentation
For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Annual Salary Range $180,000—$240,000 USD
