Accounting Manager - Milwaukee, WI
$125,000 - $150,000/annually plus benefits

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our Milwaukee office who can hit the ground running. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations as well as manage the department with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion. S/he will have a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Oversee and develop the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll by working with everyone to establish goals and objectives for the year and monitoring progress
- Coordinate the monthly financial close and year-end reporting, including inventory valuation, inventory-in-transit reports, posting inventory, re-class journal entries, P&L, and general ledgers
- Ensure all accounting functions are in compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate efforts for continual improvement in understanding of cost structures and maintain a reliable inventory job costing system
- Serve as an active member of our management team, supporting company goals and objectives
- Assist with implementation of new programs and initiatives when needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
- MINIMUM 5 years of accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks of the highest quality and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to remain discrete with the handling of confidential information
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
