The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance for a diverse client base and providing guidance for the team.
This role is on-site at one of our offices - Brookfield, Madison, Lake Geneva or Mequon.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance and professional development of a
- team of accounting professionals including staff and senior
- accountants.
- Provide regular coaching, training, and performance
- evaluations to support and engage team members.
- Foster an inclusive and high-performing team environment that
- aligns with the firm’s values.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review client engagements to ensure accuracy and
- compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Review work prepared by team members to ensure technical
- accuracy and adherence to firm and professional standards.
- Manage client relationships and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government
- requirements.
- Oversee preparation of firm’s activity reports, financial forecasts,
- and annual budgets.
- Develop and document the firm’s internal accounting procedures.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- QuickBooks certified required.
- Working knowledge of payroll rules and processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Eight years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent preferred.
- Previous leadership experience.
Salary : $82,000 - $123,000
