The Tax Coordinator will support Tax Teams and Relationship Managers (RMs) by supporting incoming project requests and ensuring the timely and accurate maintenance of project data. The Tax Coordinator will track, prioritize, and route incoming requests from clients and internal teams, ensuring they are addressed promptly, accurately, and in line with established processes. By managing both project data and request flow, the Tax Coordinator helps maintain clear communication, smooth workflows, and strong client service delivery.
This is a part time position with a seasonal increase of up to 40 hours per week from January 15th – April 15th to support the tax season.
Responsibilities:
- Log, create and maintain projects across multiple software platforms.
- Mark projects as received via Practice CS and update statuses in UltraTax.
- Assign projects to staff for preparation.
- Scan documents as needed and assist in providing documents to RMs for review.
- Set up and monitor client accounts and maintain data accuracy in TaxCaddy.
- Submit returns to SurePrep for processing.
- Support e-file and extension submissions via UltraTax as needed.
- Pull retrievals and follow up on rejections as needed.
- Complete requests from the tax inbox within defined time standards.
- Update Practice CS and UltraTax as necessary.
- Process changes in UltraTax, including new client set-ups.
- Assist in bulk sending of correspondence.
- Perform data maintenance on multiple platforms.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED.
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional services setting.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Outlook and Excel.
- Knowledge of tax documents preferred.
- Knowledge of TaxCaddy, SurePrep or similar software preferred.
