IT Support Specialist
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Grapevine, TX
Work Setting: Onsite
We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide first-level technical support to end users across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with users, and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end users (in-person, phone, and electronic)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and access-related issues
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests
- Resolve issues independently when possible; escalate more complex issues as needed
- Log and track all support requests in the help desk system
- Support commonly used applications, systems, and devices
- Assist with user account setup, changes, and access requests
- Provide support for email, phones (desk and mobile), and office technology
- Help onboard users with basic technology training and support
- Follow and update standard help desk procedures
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user access issues
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with ticketing/help desk systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to corporate IT environments and internal applications
- Basic understanding of networking, systems, and end-user computing
- Experience supporting phones (VoIP or mobile devices) is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Work Environment
- Fully onsite position in Grapevine, TX
- May require extended hours based on business needs
- Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs as needed
