CornerStone Technology Talent Services is partnering with a leading organization to hire a Director of Architecture & Engineering to lead enterprise architecture, infrastructure engineering, and strategic technology initiatives across a privately managed cloud and enterprise hosting environment. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can align senior architects and engineers, influence enterprise technology direction, and drive execution within a complex, regulated environment.
The organization owns and operates its full infrastructure stack, including on-prem infrastructure, compute, hosting, and platform services. They are seeking a leader with strong infrastructure and engineering credibility who can guide technical teams while building long-term organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise architecture strategy across private cloud, infrastructure, hosting, applications, and integration platforms
- Own the Plan & Build lifecycle including project intake, prioritization, engineering execution, and operational readiness
- Drive architectural decisions for major initiatives, upgrades, and platform modernization efforts
- Partner with executive leadership to help define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap
- Lead and mentor a team of architects and engineers while driving accountability and execution
- Ensure alignment with security, resiliency, disaster recovery, NIST, and PCI standards
- Partner cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Operations, Security, and Product teams
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of enterprise architecture and infrastructure engineering experience
- 5 years of leadership experience managing senior technical teams
- Experience leading Architecture and Engineering functions at the Director level or above
- Strong background in on-prem infrastructure, compute, hosting, and private cloud environments
- Proven ability to lead complex technical discussions and influence architectural direction
- Experience owning delivery, project intake, and Plan & Build execution
- Experience working within regulated environments including NIST and PCI
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Stable career progression with demonstrated long-term impact
Preferred Experience
- Managed services or MSP experience
- Financial services or other regulated industry background
- Multi-client or shared services environment experience
