Home-Based Therapist

Cornerstone Support Services LLC is looking for a full or part-time home-based therapist to work as an independent contractor. Our home-based therapist works with children and families with a history of domestic violence, abuse, and neglect. These are services offered to children and families who are involved with DCS. Interventions are designed to help remedy whatever issue led a family to the attention of DCS.
Purpose of Home-Based Therapist:
To be successful as a Home-Based Therapist, you should demonstrate compassion, patience, and understanding when treating clients. Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Current Indiana Licensure or License Eligible preferred
Must have a valid driver's license with valid auto insurance.
Experience in trauma informed care preferred.
Knowledge of working with children with abuse, neglect issues, and family dynamics and basic skills in family counseling
Responsibilities
You will cover Marion and surrounding counties to provide individual and family focused therapeutic interventions to support improved family functioning as a whole and within their community
Provide direct and culturally competent therapeutic services in home to children and/or family to achieve long and short-term goals within the treatment plan
Provide counseling support to a caseload of individuals and families working to achieve successful family preservation/reunification services
Issues addressed may include trauma, abuse and neglect, substance use, mental illness, personality/behavior disorder, dysfunctional family of origin, and current family dysfunction
Guide clients through clear, beneficial counseling methods to accomplish client-set goals
Maintain the therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and licenses
Work with Department of Child Services and other institutions related to clients
Complete treatment plans, monthly reports and documentation of all contacts with family
Communicate with supervisor, clients, and DCS via email and phone
Complete Clinical Assessments for intake of each client
Create safety and crisis plans as needed
Use evidence-based models during sessions to ensure progress
Attend court if subpoenaed or invited on client's behalf
Attend Child Family Team meetings as scheduled
Attend staffing meetings with supervisor to provide updates as scheduled
Report any critical issues or crisis to supervisor and DCS
