Compensation & Schedule
• $18.00–$20.00 per hour
• Up to 32 hours per week; flexible scheduling within Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Temporary, Part-Time (W2)
Role Impact
The Administrative Court Clerk supports daily operations of a Justice Court by ensuring accurate case setup, docket scheduling, and timely processing of legal documents. This role helps maintain the integrity of court records and supports efficient judicial proceedings. Success in this position means organized case files, accurate data entry, and professional service to court staff, attorneys, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
• Set court cases and manage docket scheduling to ensure readiness for hearings and trials
• Issue citations and assist with case processing from filing through disposition
• Review, accept, and enter case information into the case management system (electronic docketing and records database)
• Prepare and process legal documents including judgments, orders, writs, and citations
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper court records; respond to case-related inquiries from staff and the public
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in a legal setting (court, law firm, or government office)
• Prior office or administrative experience in a structured environment
• Strong typing, data entry, and computer proficiency (case management systems, document processing)
Core Tools & Systems
• Court case management systems and electronic filing (e-filing) platforms
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Document scanning and records management systems
• Multi-line phone systems and standard office equipment
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and Rules of Court
• Experience handling sensitive or time-sensitive documentation
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, procedural environment
