Pharmacy Technician
Pay Rate: $18.95/hour
Location: Onsite - Jeffersonville, IN
Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift
Work Schedule
- Monday: 1pm-11:30pm
- Tuesday – Friday: 2pm-11pm
- Saturday: 12pm – 8:30pm
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations and assist licensed pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring accurate medication preparation, inventory management, and compliance with pharmacy regulations while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing
- Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing
- Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders
- Replenish medications in automated dispensing cells
- Open and handle large quantities of medication bottles and cases
- Ensure medication containers include proper labels and instructions for patient use
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dispensing area
Inventory Management
- Assist with medication inventory control and stock management
- Perform regular stock rotation to prevent expired medications
Compliance & Documentation
- Follow all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with documentation and record keeping related to prescriptions and medications
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have one of the following credentials:
- Indiana Pharmacy Technician License, OR
- Indiana Technician-in-Training License, OR
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Additional requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous pharmacy experience
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 20–30 lbs for short distances and 15 lbs for extended periods
- Ability to select and retrieve items from shelves for order fulfillment
- Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift
Work Environment
- Fast-paced pharmacy or fulfillment environment focused on accuracy, safety, and customer service.
