Pharmacy Technician (2nd Shift)
Location: Jeffersonville, IN | On-site
Compensation & Schedule
• $18.05/hr $1.00 shift differential
• Monday 1:00pm–11:30pm; Tuesday–Friday 2:00pm–11:00pm; Saturday 12:00pm–8:30pm
• W-2 | Full-Time
• Start date: Within 2 weeks of offer (license required within 2 weeks of start)
Role Impact
The Pharmacy Technician in Training supports licensed pharmacists in the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of prescription medications. This role ensures medications are prepared, labeled, and distributed in compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining high quality and productivity standards. Success in this role means delivering accurate order fulfillment, maintaining inventory integrity, and upholding patient safety in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, measure, count, label, and package prescription medications according to prescription orders.
• Replenish automated dispensing cells and stock medication inventory, including opening and handling bulk bottles and cases.
• Maintain clean, organized dispensing and work areas to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance.
• Rotate stock and monitor inventory to prevent expiration and ensure product accuracy.
• Follow all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be eligible for and obtain an Indiana Pharmacy Technician in Training license within 2 weeks of start date and willing to pursue National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs. regularly and 15 lbs. on an extended basis; ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Equipment & Work Environment
• Automated dispensing systems and conveyor-based order fulfillment lines.
• Repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying of medication inventory.
• Warehouse-style pharmacy distribution environment.
• High-volume, quality-focused production setting.
Preferred Skills
• Previous picking, order fulfillment, warehouse, or quality control experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
• Ability to stay on task, demonstrate accountability, and work effectively within a team.
