Mortgage Loan Processor
LOCATION Carrollton, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay: $24.50/hr
• Mon - Fri 8am-5pm
The Loan Processor is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of mortgage loans from initial setup through closing. This position ensures loan documentation meets underwriting requirements, federal and state lending regulations, and established deadlines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage loan process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process mortgage loans from setup through closing, including verifying, compiling, and entering borrower information into the loan origination system (LOS).
- Review and analyze loan documentation, including credit reports, income, assets, appraisals, title reports, CAIVRS, VA eligibility, and flood certifications.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) requirements, and applicable federal and state lending regulations.
- Communicate with borrowers, underwriters, and internal teams to resolve documentation issues, obtain outstanding conditions, and prepare complete loan files for pre-closing audits.
- Monitor loan pipelines, maintain confidentiality of borrower information, meet closing deadlines, and provide consistent customer communication and follow-up.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–2 years of mortgage loan processing and closing experience, including recent TRID experience and the ability to manage high-volume mortgage loan pipelines while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation, underwriting requirements, consumer lending regulations, federal and state compliance guidelines, and VA mortgage lending guidelines and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS), Microsoft Office, and electronic documentation, with strong organizational, analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Experience using Calyx Path loan origination software is a plus.
