Principal Objective of Position:
The Corporate Accountant assists with the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and general ledger management for the corporate entities of the organization. This role ensures the integrity of corporate-level financial data, manages intercompany reconciliations, and supports the month-end close process. The Corporate Accountant provides critical support to the finance leadership team by maintaining accurate books and records in compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.
Essential Functions:

- Perform monthly account reconciliations for corporate assets and liabilities.
- Ensure all corporate accounting activities adhere to GAAP and internal company policies.
- Provide support with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries and accruals.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and supporting schedules for internal use.
- Maintain spreadsheets and financial tracking tools.
Other Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement efficiencies within the corporate accounting workflow and general ledger systems.
- Support the Corporate Accounting Manager with ad-hoc reporting and special financial initiatives as assigned.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, or a minimum of 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting or multi-entity environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and discrepancies.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial information to internal team members and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property accounting systems (Yardi).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with professional discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple ownership structures.
- Familiarity with accounting software or enterprise financial systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for date organization and analysis.
Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, phones, and printers. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level and may support hybrid or remote work arrangements depending on business needs. Occasional extended hours may be required during month-end, quarter-end, or audit periods.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
