Principal Objective of Position:
The Mechanical Services Technician at Corner Management, Inc. and Cornerstone Companies is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. This role is crucial in providing a comfortable and safe environment for clients by ensuring all mechanical systems are operating effectively. The technician will work within the Facilities Services Group to deliver high-quality service in both full-time and part-time capacities.
Essential Functions:

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including but not limited to air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation systems.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations for system upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency and performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency service requests, minimizing downtime and disruption for clients.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve service quality and efficiency.

Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC or mechanical services is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical services, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proven track record of working with a variety of HVAC systems and components in a facilities services environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience in HVAC or mechanical services, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and repair.
Work Environment:
This position requires travel between client locations and work will be performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements.
