This firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to support its Conflicts & Intake function within the Nashville office. This role serves as a key advisor on conflict analysis, new matter intake, and professional responsibility matters. The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and administrative teams to ensure compliance with ethical obligations while facilitating efficient client onboarding and matter management. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive conflict searches and analyses for new clients, matters, and lateral attorney candidates
- Review conflict reports, identify actual and potential conflicts, and assist in developing appropriate resolution strategies
- Manage the new matter intake process from initial submission through matter opening
- Draft and review engagement letters, conflict waiver agreements, and related intake documentation
- Advise attorneys and firm personnel on professional responsibility issues involving conflicts, confidentiality, and ethical screening procedures
- Partner with firm leadership and administrative teams to maintain and enhance conflicts and intake policies, procedures, and systems
- Collaborate with attorneys, finance personnel, and business development teams regarding client onboarding and lateral integration efforts
- Monitor developments in professional responsibility rules and conflicts-related best practices
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Tennessee Bar admission required; additional state admissions are a plus
- Minimum of 4 years of attorney experience
- Prior experience handling conflicts analysis and new matter intake within a law firm environment is required
- Strong knowledge of professional responsibility rules, conflicts of interest standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Experience with legal conflicts management systems such as Intapp, Elite, or comparable platforms preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys and firm leadership
- Commitment to professionalism, sound judgment, and the highest ethical standards

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
