Responsibilities
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, expedite deliveries, and resolve any delays.
- Issue purchase orders for materials, consumables, and shop supplies to ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain accurate and organized purchasing records for easy tracking and reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify upcoming purchasing needs proactively.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams regarding material availability and potential delays.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies related to purchasing and receiving processes.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers while seeking opportunities for cost savings.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or related fields is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks in a structured manner.
- Excellent work ethic and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
