We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Construction Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for our mission-critical data center projects. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the site-specific QA/QC management system in accordance with approved plans.
- Lead regular meetings with project teams (internal and external) to ensure QA/QC objectives are achieved.
- Participate in weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC), site logistics, and commissioning meetings to coordinate quality efforts.
- Collaborate with project teams and client representatives to address all quality-related matters promptly.
- Review and approve all delivery, rigging, lift plans, and inspection procedures.
- Conduct or participate in internal and external site audits to uphold quality standards.
- Distribute QA/QC documentation, including submittals, shop drawings, Sequence of Operations (SOO), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage the delivery and logistics of owner and contractor-furnished equipment, ensuring quality compliance.
- Oversee project submittals, shop drawings, and ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams through Level 5 Commissioning (Cx) processes.
- Ensure adherence to the approved site safety plan.
- Manage and coordinate staff training related to project infrastructure equipment.
- Document project progress, quality issues, and resolutions, reporting regularly to stakeholders.
- Perform miscellaneous duties related to project quality and compliance as assigned.
- Technical background in data center engineering and construction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in data center facilities or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, system schematics, and project schedules.
- Proven experience developing and overseeing methods of procedure (MOP) and project procedures.
- Familiarity with reading complex design drawings, sequences of operations, and technical schematics.
- Knowledge of NETA guidelines and standards.
- Proficiency with project management systems (both web-based and local applications).
- Deep understanding of MEP systems, construction processes, and materials associated with data centers.
- Experience working with Building Management Systems, Environmental controls, Electrical Power Management Systems, access controls, and CCTV systems.
- Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate active construction environments safely.
- Strong time management skills, with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, DCMA 14, or similar.
- Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
