Nurse Manager – PACU (Full-Time | Days)
A respected community-based hospital serving the Rockaways and Five Towns in Queens and Nassau County is seeking an experienced RN Manager – PACU to lead its PACU and AMSU units.
Schedule: Full-Time (75 hours biweekly)
Shift: Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $160,000 – $172,000
Position Overview
The Nurse Manager – PACU provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role oversees daily operations, staff performance, and compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PACU operations and ensure continuity of care across PACU & AMSU
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader for nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Address patient concerns and promote a positive patient experience
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Manage departmental resources, budgeting, and performance metrics
Requirements
- Active New York RN License
- BSN required, Master’s preferred
- 3–5 years of leadership experience, PACU preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with staffing models, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance
Pay: $160,000.00 - $172,000.00 per year
