SUMMARY
This position provides direct support to the CEO, manages administrative and board office support activities, and oversees the CRNA's Safety program.
JOB DUTIES
- Develop, review, and implement the Health & Safety (H&S) Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Prepare and analyze the monthly, quarterly, and annual incident reports accordingly.
Ensure proper and timely completion of workers' compensation administration, including WC forms and annual OSHA reporting requirements, and ensure OSHA regulations and other pertinent regulations comply.
Manage the Health & Safety Committee by ensuring program participation and accountability for all CRNA Programs, preparing meeting agendas, maintaining minutes and distributing information to committee members.
- Ensure that all life safety equipment, such as (Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Extinguisher, Kitchen Hood), meets the current required standards.
- Collaborate with the Facilities department to monitor all facilities to ensure they meet required safety codes, CARF, and AAAHC guidelines, and OSHA regulations (e.g., fire alarm systems, kitchen equipment, and general building codes), and are appropriately certified and/or licensed.
Conduct annual audits to identify health and safety goals for the following year.
Lead all scheduling and appointment activities of the CEO, providing reminders of upcoming appointments/meetings.
- Facilitate communication between CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Perform administrative duties to include by not limited to: preparation of meeting material and presentations, complete travel and expense reports for CEO and board, inventory and procurement tasks, transcribe board meeting minutes, etc.
- Coordinate all CEO and board members' travel, including airline reservations, per diem calculations, and procedural follow-up needs.
- In charge of planning, execution, and organization of Board meetings and activities.
- Assist in the coordination of key employee gatherings/meetings, including reserving the location, scheduling events, coordinating meeting refreshments, and notifying staff.
- Assist with the planning and organizing of any Board trainings.
- Understand CRNA Bylaws and Board Governance documents and know Roberts Rules of Order.
- Maintain familiarity with IHS and BIA issues.
Maintain confidentiality regarding staff, clients, board meetings, files, and program matters.
Travel to meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent, and
- Three (3) years' experience in such areas as fire prevention, environmental health, industrial hygiene, and/or safety; OR
- Associate's degree in environmental health or related field, and
- One (1) year of experience in such areas as fire prevention, environmental health, industrial hygiene, and/or safety
- Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Current Alaska Driver's License.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field

It may require local travel between compact services of CRNA, which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Works in an environment where the protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed.
