The role
We're hiring a Director of Marketing to own CGN's marketing. Not client marketing — ours. This person builds CGN's brand, drives qualified leads into our sales pipeline, and turns our marketing into a consistent, measurable source of new business.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the strategy and execute it. You'll manage one direct report and outside vendors. You'll report directly to leadership with clear pipeline and ROI numbers. If you're looking for a role where you own something real and can point to what you built, this is it.
What you'll own
- CGN's annual marketing strategy, tied to revenue and growth targets
- Demand generation — filling the sales pipeline with qualified prospects
- All of our marketing channels: website, SEO, content, email, organic social, and paid media
- CGN's brand — positioning, messaging, and voice across everything we publish
- Our content and thought-leadership engine: blog, social, video, email, events, and webinars
- Marketing on our own stack: Claude and n8n for production, HubSpot for the funnel and lead tracking
- Marketing reporting: pipeline contribution, cost per lead, CAC, and ROI by channel
- The marketing budget
- One direct report and outside vendor relationships
What you'll bring
- 5 years in marketing, with experience owning strategy or leading a team
- Agency background — you understand how agencies grow and how to market one
- A track record of owning a lead-gen or pipeline number and hitting it
- Hands-on experience across SEO, paid media, email, content, and social
- Strong analytics skills and comfort with attribution — you know what's working and why
- Fluency with the tools we run on: Claude (AI), n8n (automation), and HubSpot
- Strong writing and editorial judgment, with a clear sense of brand and storytelling
- Experience managing people or external partners
- A bias toward execution — you ship campaigns, measure them, and improve
Nice to have
Marketing experience in remodeling, construction, or another home-services or trades vertical.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus a performance incentive tied to pipeline contribution, commensurate with experience. We're straightforward about comp — if you're the right fit, we'll make it work.
