What are the responsibilities and job description for the CES Operations and Customer Support Intern position at Consumer Technology Association?
(Full-time/Long-term Internship)
Hours Per Week: Approximately 35 hours per week (standard business hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Schedules are flexible to accommodate current student class commitments.
Approximate Duration: June/July 2026 through early/mid-2027. Internships may last up to 11 months from the start date.
Hybrid Work Schedule: Interns are expected to work onsite Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Basic Function of the Position:
To assist CES Operations with event management for a large-scale trade show, including attendee customer service, registration, and temporary staff management and training.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review registration website and submit all requested changes to vendor and test site for updates.
- Field registration related customer service calls/emails.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal questions regarding CES registration database functionality. Create simple how-to guides for internal staff use.
- Maintain website content for registration and show planning pages.
- Assist with temporary staffing scheduling.
- Assist in training internal teams on registration related systems and processes.
- Assist with show shipment to Las Vegas.
- Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and organization is critical.
- Ability to multi-task and work within multiple systems is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Travel to CES 2027 is required.
- PAID Internship.
