Constellation Search Group is looking for a VP of Finance for a full-time direct hire position. The VP of Finance will serve as a senior finance partner, providing financial leadership to approximately five small to medium-sized entities. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will collaborate with entity CEOs and the centralized accounting team to enhance business performance and facilitate growth. This position requires an ability to operate independently in complex, growth-stage environments, bringing structure and accountability to a fast-growing multi-entity business.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the senior finance leader for multiple entities within the portfolio.
- Provide financial guidance and operational support to entity CEOs, ensuring financial accountability.
- Own finance and accounting functions at the entity level, including FP&A, FinOps, and cash flow operations.
- Collaborate with the CFO and accounting team for accurate financial reporting and monthly close processes.
- Offer financial leadership and direct intervention for entities requiring additional focus.
- Improve finance processes, reporting systems, and operational rhythms across assigned entities.
- Analyze cash flow and business trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Enhance financial visibility and controls to aid informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support growth and financial performance across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience preferred; 7 to 17 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience in FinOps, FP&A, and broader finance/accounting leadership in complex industries.
- Proven track record in growth-stage companies with revenues between $25M and $500M.
- Experience supporting senior business leaders in a multi-site, multi-entity environment.
- Ability to work independently as a senior finance partner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in building scalable finance processes in a high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel and manage business priorities.
- MBA from a top-tier business school and undergraduate degree in finance or related discipline required.
- Healthcare finance experience, Big 4 audit experience, and private equity-backed experience preferred.
