Constellation Search Group is looking for a Head of Talent & Growth for a full-time position. This role is crucial for developing and leading a scalable talent infrastructure to support the organization's rapid growth and expansion strategy. Collaborating closely with the CEO and other leaders, the role ensures alignment between talent strategy and the company's revenue and expansion goals.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design and effectiveness of the full talent lifecycle, including attracting, hiring, onboarding, developing, engaging, retaining, and transitioning talent.
- Build scalable talent systems that support firm growth, leadership development, and long-term organizational capacity. Establish and track key talent metrics tied to hiring, retention, performance management, professional development, leadership development, and firm growth.
- Build and execute a scalable, multi-channel sourcing strategy that may include direct sourcing, agency partnerships, referral networks, professional associations, alumni networks, and other creative sourcing channels.
- Partner directly with Practice Leaders and firm leadership to define hiring needs, prioritize roles, and close high-quality candidates.
- Improve hiring velocity, candidate quality, offer acceptance, and overall recruiting conversion.
- Build and manage recruiting pipeline metrics, including candidate flow, sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, and quality of hire.
- Translate firm revenue targets and budgets into actionable hiring plans.
- Develop a 1- to 3-year workforce roadmap across practice areas, functions, and geographies.
- Support geographic expansion initiatives by aligning hiring plans, leadership capacity, and talent development with market growth needs.
- Own and evolve the firm's performance management framework.
- Drive goal setting, quarterly checkpoints, annual reviews, performance calibration, and accountability systems.
- Partner with leaders to ensure performance expectations are clear and underperformance is addressed consistently and constructively.
- Design and implement structured attorney development pathways aligned with promotion criteria and compensation models.
- Lead professional development, training, and leadership development programs for attorneys, partners, managers, and emerging leaders.
- Build leadership capability across the firm by coaching partners and managers on feedback, accountability, performance management, and team leadership.
- Partner closely with the Director of HR Operations to ensure seamless execution across the employee lifecycle while maintaining a clear separation between strategic talent leadership and day-to-day HR administration.
Qualifications:
- Experience in senior talent leadership roles such as Head of Talent or VP of People.
- Proven track record in recruiting senior and specialized professionals.
- Success in building talent systems within complex professional services environments.
- Experience in workforce and performance management, with strong executive partnership skills.
- Proficient in recruiting metrics and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable hiring plans.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Operationally adept with strategic and hands-on capabilities.
- Familiarity with performance management tools like Lattice is preferred.
- Legal industry and multi-market growth experience are advantageous.
