JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist in the efficient operation of the campus reception area.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet visitors and respond to routine inquiries from staff and public.
- Exercise good telephone etiquette, receive incoming calls, answer routing questions, take reliable messages, route to appropriate staff.
- Maintain, organize, and update (order) supplies as needed.
- Perform clerical duties assisting staff.
- Route and distribute campus mail.
- Coordinate print and work orders.
Coordinate substitute teacher program
- Complete absence from duty forms for staff.
- Keep conference room and front office waiting room clean, organized, and coffee ready for visitors.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Assist others on the campus.
- Operate MIS System.
- Lock and unlock doors as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular attendance.
- Maintain confidentiality
EXPERIENCE:
- One to three years secretarial experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- General computer knowledge
- General knowledge of responsibilities of each campus department
- General knowledge of school programs
- Ability to work with students and teachers effectively
