We're seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Technician III to support and maintain advanced automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment and robotic systems.
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and startup activities for automated production cells.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Upload, back up, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Support vision systems and make basic programming adjustments when needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and recommend process or equipment improvements.
- Fabricate and modify automation components using machine shop equipment and hand tools.
- Set up and adjust vibratory feeding systems and other automated support equipment.
- Train and mentor junior automation technicians on equipment setup, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following manufacturing and safety standards.
- 3 years of automation, robotics, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with:
- Industrial automation systems
- Robotics
- PLCs
- Electrical controls
- Automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining automated production equipment.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
- Experience using multimeters, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with fabrication and equipment repair.
- Experience training or mentoring junior technicians is preferred.
- Injection molding or automated manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Stable work history with demonstrated reliability.
