Salary: $86,000–$90,000 5% bonus

Hours: 8:00–9:00 AM start, some flexibility
Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote after training

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing organization in Franklin, MA. This is a hands-on accounting position with responsibility for day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while identifying ways to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Perform cash and account reconciliations
• Support inventory and cost accounting
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, and production variances
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Support budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow planning
• Assist with audits and tax-related reporting
• Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and procedures
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
• Help improve ERP and accounting data accuracy
• Support AP automation and other process-improvement initiatives
• Work closely with Operations, the Controller, and other teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience required
• Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and financial statement experience
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Strong process-improvement mindset

Preferred Experience

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Microsoft Copilot or other automation/reporting tools
• Lean or continuous improvement
• Audit experience in a manufacturing environment
• Process mapping and documentation

Work Environment

This is primarily an office-based position within a manufacturing facility, with regular interaction with production, warehouse, and maintenance teams. Training will be fully onsite for approximately 2–4 weeks, followed by a 3 days onsite / 2 days remote schedule.
