We’re looking for a hands‐on Project Manager to run a mix of Capital and O&M projects focused on process improvement, system enhancements, and operational optimization across the utility. You’ll manage several projects at once, work directly with SMEs and business partners, and keep teams aligned on scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables.
This role is ideal for someone who likes structure, can lead without drama, and knows how to move cross‐functional teams forward.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day‐to‐day delivery of multiple projects, coordinating directly with SMEs, business partners, consultants, and leadership
- Build and manage project scope, requirements, schedules, and resource plans
- Drive accountability across teams to ensure milestones and deliverables stay on track
- Identify risks and issues early and push resolution with the right owners
- Keep communication flowing across stakeholders, end‐users, and management
- Support change management, training, and implementation activities
- Use internal tools and systems for project tracking, reporting, and scheduling
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience in project management, engineering, operations, IT, construction, or utility environments
- Solid understanding of project management principles (PMP is a plus)
- Experience leading medium‐to‐large projects with cross‐functional teams
- Strong communication skills — able to present to technical and non‐technical audiences
- Comfortable driving change, leading meetings, and keeping teams aligned
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power Platform
- Bonus: Lean Six Sigma, or experience with GIS, SAP, scheduling/dispatch systems, mobility apps
Work Details
- Onsite: Monday–Thursday (San Diego County; may work from district offices as needed)
