PLUMBING & HVAC OPERATIONS MANAGER
Our company is looking for an experienced trades professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for someone who has spent years in the field, knows plumbing inside and out, understands how jobs should be completed, and has the experience and confidence to lead technicians and keep a busy service operation running smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have extensive residential plumbing experience, and HVAC knowledge and experience as well.
As our Plumbing & HVAC Operations Manager, you will help oversee the day to day operation of our field team and serve as a go to resource for our technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support plumbing and HVAC technicians
- Handle technician questions, concerns, and day to day field issues
- Provide technical guidance and help troubleshoot difficult jobs
- Ensure work is being performed properly and to company standards
- Oversee the shop and workshop areas and keep them organized and operating efficiently
- Coordinate and order parts and materials needed for upcoming jobs
- Help ensure technicians have the equipment and materials they need
- Review job-related issues and help determine the best solutions
- Maintain accountability and professionalism among the field team
- Help train and develop technicians
- Ensure work meets applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements
- Work with company leadership to improve field operations and technician performance
- When needed, willing to go into field to assist with complications, or run occasional estimates
Who We're Looking For:
We want someone who has been in the trades long enough to know what good work looks like.
The right candidate should have:
- Extensive hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of systems, troubleshooting, installation, and service
- Strong knowledge of local codes and regulations
- Previous leadership, foreman, supervisor, service manager, or similar experience preferred
- Ability to earn the respect of experienced technicians through knowledge and leadership
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians, office staff, vendors, and management
- A high level of accountability and attention to detail
- A team-first attitude and willingness to hold people to high standards
Compensation:
Starting Salary: 90,000/year
Compensation may increase based on experience, qualifications, plumbing/HVAC knowledge, and leadership ability.
